That’s why we’ve crafted these two fantastic snorkeling itineraries to offer you one of the most memorable days of your vacation along the Coast of the Gods.
Embark on the Capo Vaticano tour departing from Tropea Port and heading south along the Coast of the Gods. Once underway, we’ll navigate toward the beautiful hidden bays of ‘Praia i Focu’ in Capo Vaticano. Prepare to be enchanted by breathtaking landscapes, rugged granite cliffs, pristine white seabeds, and crystal-clear waters teeming with fish—a true slice of paradise. Shortly after, we’ll make our first swim stop at Capo Vaticano’s renowned bay: ‘Grotticelle’, famous for its unique rock formation, which is even featured on the bottle of Amaro del Capo. From there, we’ll set sail for Formicoli—once known as ‘Forum Erculis’—an ancient Roman harbor with emerald waters and a rocky seabed perfect for snorkeling enthusiasts. Here, amidst a refreshing dive, a leisurely swim, and some great tunes, we’ll celebrate this beautiful day with new friends and a glass of sparkling wine, accompanied by taralli or chips. Our journey then takes us toward Santa Domenica, passing through the bay of Riaci where you can admire the ‘Scoglio nave di Riaci’. Its caves and inlets earned recognition from National Geographic in 2022 as Italy’s most beautiful snorkeling bay. And the highlight of our tour is yet to come! Nearing our destination between Santa Domenica and Tropea, there’s a small cove known as “Grotta dello Scheletro” or “Grotta Azzurra”, celebrated for the striking optical effect created by the light within. It is here that we’ll take our final swim stop, surrounded by an abundance of marine life. We then return to port, passing by the picturesque town built upon the crag and admiring the stunning Isola di Tropea. This is a unique experience that will forever be etched in the minds and hearts of those who join us.

Our Briatico tour departs from Tropea Port and heads north along the Coast of the Gods. Once we leave port, we’ll steer toward Parghelia, where the untouched bay of “Michelino” awaits. Here, you can marvel at nature’s harmony as an enchanting cliff and mesmerizing turquoise waters create a picture-perfect setting. Next, on our right, you’ll witness the rock formation known as “La Pizzuta” – a striking granite pinnacle perched between the sea and the beach that has become an emblem of the town. Soon after, still in the Parghelia waters, we’ll encounter the bay known as “La Tonnara”, a magical spot accessible only by sea, now a haven for a myriad of fish thanks to the protective artificial barriers along the coast. This is where we’ll make our first swim stop. Continuing on toward Zambrone, we head for the famed coves of “Sub Paradise,” one of the most beautiful beaches along the entire Tyrrhenian coast. Named for its natural, crystal-clear waters and white, fish-filled seabeds, all embraced by a dramatic cliff, this hidden gem is another ideal spot for snorkeling and admiring the local marine beauty. After reboarding, we set sail for the “Murenario di Sant’irene” in Briatico, where a uniquely shaped rock formation and its intriguing history will leave you in awe of this extraordinary coastline. Once we’ve had our fill of swimming and exploration, a light onboard aperitif featuring Prosecco and taralli awaits to celebrate a day well spent together.
